Any Hotspot Gateway with RADIUS & External Captive Portal – Setup Guide

Any gateway with RADIUS (PAP) and an external captive portal URL works: Cambium, Grandstream, Teltonika, Zyxel, Fortinet, pfSense and more.

  1. Hotspots → Add router → Brand Generic; enter the gateway's login URL, method and form field names.
  2. On the gateway: RADIUS servers + secret, accounting on, NAS-Identifier = the router identity, external portal = <portal URL>?nas=<identity>&mac=<client MAC>&url=<original URL>.
  3. Walled garden: the WiFiNexa host.
